Icon Services Corporation is proud to announce our new line of full-color Custom Paper Targets. Produced in an exclusive agreement with America’s largest manufacturer of paper targets for shooters; the ICON VIP Protection Target Line is the first of it’s kind to present a challenging shooting target created by professionals in the Executive Protection Industry.
The targets themselves will provide Executive Protection Agents, Law Enforcement, Military Personnel and avid marksmen around the world, high quality targets designed to hone the shooters skills in a simulation of true-to-life events. The initial series of 6 places the shooter in a variety of scenarios such as confronting a hostage taker on a private aircraft or protecting your client from a gun-wielding stalker as she exits the vehicle.

Met a great guy several weeks back named Andy Santamaria that owns an interesting business called CMTY which stands for Connecting Me To You. Andy interviews individuals from different professions and let’s the world know about them through Cyberspace. He didn’t reinvent the wheel, but he did make the interview process fresh and engaging. Wow. Powerful allegations. I’ll reserve passing any judgement until I read the entire book myself. However, I will say that having had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Obama on multiple occasions (from when he was a rising star Senator, to his current role as Commander in Chief) and liaising with his staff, the agents entrusted with his safety have always appeared attentive and mission-focused. I did have some concerns during my time the inauguration– the sheer size and magnitude could have been nothing but overwhelming –but was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to bring them up to key parties.
One thing I will say is that the men and women of the United States Secret Service have a very demanding job and one that allows zero margin for error. Lopsided or not, a book like this will surely light a fire that will make some take a closer look at any deficiencies for the greater good.
From China to the DNC to the RNC to the NFL Kick-off to LA to the Obama/McCain Service Forum in NYC. It’s been a crazy 30 days. Thanks to everyone at ICON that kept the plates spinning to make the assignments a success, and keeping all the clients happy.
Now back to the moutain of paperwork that’s accumulated. uggh.</p
“Next month, a delegation of nearly 1,200 U.S. athletes, coaches and support staff will make their way to Beijing, China, for the Olympics games. Behind the scenes, United States Olympic Committee Chief Security Officer Larry Buendorf will be keeping a close eye on the games, making sure that the four years he’s spent making security preparations with local authorities keep the Olympians and their handlers safe.”
Presenting my very biased list for Top 10 Bodyguard Movies of all time. This is an unscientific study with the only criteria being that they get a lot of play in my DVD.
1. Star Wars (Obi-Wan was Luke’s bodyguard!)
2. Man on Fire
4. The Bodyguard (yeah it’s Cliché, but it’s a good movie)
5. Way of the Gun
6. Shogun Assassin7. Churhill’s Bodyguard
8. Heat (Not even sure if there are any BG’s in it, but it still makes list)
10. In the Line of Fire
An interesting profile on Serge Borlee, former bodyguard of Lance Armstrong. I’ve worked with several sports figures in my career, but never a cyclist. While I have never met Mr. Borlee, I give him a lot of respect for keeping up with clients who always get to ride while you run!
